Many thanks to the 79 citizens of Worcester for participating in the Town Meeting Survey. It was Worcester’s highest total yet! Worcester supported labeling of food, an increase in the minimum wage, and prohibiting cell phones while driving. Following are some comments.
Marijuana
“Legalize it and tax it.”
Non-violent Offenders
“Depending on the non-violent offense; if it’s narcotic sales and distribution, then no.”
Property Taxes
“High property taxes are driving native Vermonters out of the state, especially those retiring or getting ready to retire. Also, the younger generation because of higher taxes and lower incomes. Something has to be done, especially about school taxes. HELP!”
