Editor,
At this time when many people in our community find themselves with a loved one suffering from addiction, whether it is to alcohol, opiates, cocaine, heroin, marijuana or something else, I want to let them know there is help available. On Wednesday nights from 6-8 p.m., the Wit’s End group meets at the Turning Point Center, 489 North Main St. in Barre.
Wit’s End is a support group for parents, siblings, children, spouses and/or relationship partners of someone suffering with addiction. Wit’s End is free, confidential, and is facilitated by its members. Louise Coates, a licensed drug and alcohol counselor, is available at every meeting to answer questions around addiction that may arise. Members, who wish to can share their stories, ask for information, advice or just listen to others. It is helpful to find out you are not alone, gain knowledge of addiction, recovery and the role that relapse plays in the process, and be supported by others who have been through many of the same struggles
If you are at your “wit’s end” struggling to deal with a loved one’s addiction, join us on Wednesday nights from 6-8 p.m. You are not alone! If you have questions, you may call Louise Coates at 279-6378.
