Pollina brings a strong record of success in giving a voice to Vermont’s most vulnerable citizens!
I write this letter in support of Anthony Pollina for Washington County Senate. As a disability rights activist, I am very impressed with Anthony’s record and his courage to challenge the “status quo” in Montpelier. He speaks up on issues like budget cuts for disability and aging services during a time when the demand for these services is rising, yet the governor continues to insist that Vermont has “no more tax capacity to raise taxes.”
One of the biggest problems we face as a state and as a nation is growing income inequality and poverty. We need leaders like Anthony Pollina who are willing to tackle these challenges. We can’t continue on the path of slash and burn every time we have a budget problem by asking those who have the least to solve the problem. We are all in this economic mess together. Our elected officials must put people and the planet first! There is a face and story behind every budget cut. Together we can do better.
Put people first on November 4th by re-electing Anthony Pollina to the VT state Senate.
