Justin Curtis Orr

EAST MONTPELIER,  VT – Justin Curtis Orr, 22, passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2024, in East Montpelier, VT.

Justin was born at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT on May 31, 2002, to Ron and Rose Orr.

Even though Justin was a free spirit and loved to travel, he spent the majority of his life in Vermont. Justin attended Spaulding High School and spent many years of his working career at Domino’s in Barre, VT. Justin always had a passion for cooking and that is why he would often be found in the kitchen.

Saying Justin was well-liked is an understatement. When he walked into a room all the attention was on him, he simply was just the life of the party. Everyone who knew Justin loved him, whether it was his contagious belly laugh or his big smile, he always knew how to make someone smile, even on the worst days. From old to young, he created friendships near and far.

Justin was on skates before he could walk, leading him to play hockey for many years and met many lifelong friends along the way. One of Justin’s favorite things to do, which started long before he could remember, up until the very end was tormenting his older sisters, of course. From putting them in headlocks to throwing them out of the back of the riding lawn mower wagon and messing up their hair and makeup. Even though sarcasm was his first language, he was the first shoulder there for someone to lean on if they needed someone.

He loved going on family trips when he was little with his dad, mom, and sisters. From hotel getaways to camping trips he always had a love for the water and swimming. Going on the ferry to visit his grandmother in Long Island, NY, riding in the RV, and enjoying beach days with some of his favorite people; his siblings, grandparents, and aunt and uncle from Connecticut.

His lifelong passion for fishing led him to many states where he won lots of trophies, tournaments, and awards. It wouldn’t matter if it was rain or shine, winter or summer, surely Justin could be found on the water somewhere; with a beer in his hand of course. That’s if you consider light beer an actual beer … Justin spent a lot of time in his last few years developing a love for training/wheeling with all his friends. Spending a lot of his time on the trails in Washington, VT, and going to mud bogs throughout New England.

Anyone who met or got the privilege to know Justin knew he was easy to love and will forever be impossible to forget. Justin will be missed beyond measure.

Justin is survived by his father, Ron Orr Jr., and wife Angela Orr of Plattsburgh, NY; and stepfather Adam Parry, of Barre, VT; bonus Mom Nikki White and family, of Barre, VT; his sister of Southerland, NE, Brittney Raymond, and her fiancé Victory Finley, and their children, Audrey-Rose Frost, Serenity-Taylor Finley, and Oaklan-Dean Finley; his sister Mallory Raymond-McMillion and her daughter, Camilla Brouillette of East Montpelier, VT; step-siblings of Plattsburgh, NY Josh Fleming and his fiancé Amanda Tompkins and family, Dereck Fleming and Ciara Fleming and family, Jessica Fleming and her fiancé Mitchell Trost; his maternal grandmother, Linda Lamb of East Montpelier, VT; his paternal grandparents, Ron Orr Sr. and Kathy Orr of Phoenix, AZ, and Cheryl Pinto and Paul of Murrells Inlet, SC; his aunt Michelle Casson and uncle Will Casson of Bristol, VT. Also, many other relatives and friends.

Justin was predeceased by his mother Rose Orr, grandfather Durward Lamb, and great-grandmother Kathryn Wyman.

A Graveside Service will be held on June 21, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at the Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier, VT, followed by a Celebration of Justin’s Life at the Barre Elks Club.
