Kevin Charles Currier

KEVIN CHARLES CURRIER died unexpectedly at his home in Topsham, VT on April 13, 2024 at the age of 62.

Our beloved Cubby, Bub or Bubby, as he was fondly called by his family and friends, was born on May 22, 1961, to Charles and Elizabeth/Betty (McTaggart) Currier of Topsham, VT.  He grew up, lived and died on the family farm in Topsham.

Kevin attended school in Topsham at U-36 and attended Oxbow High School in Bradford, VT.  Kevin worked the family dairy farm and then on the McLam Chicken and Veal Farm until joining the Vermont National Guard in 1980.  He served honorably and faithfully for more than twenty years.  He was a heavy equipment operator for Lord & Son’s, E. E. Packard, WSI Waste Management and Grandfield Excavation.

Kevin was a loving family man. He was a kind, gentle and caring brother who was always giving and especially there for his sisters, nephews and nieces. He found comfort and was happiest spending time with his family and friends.  He always enjoyed having the kids around to share a meal, hot cocoa or bowl of ice cream. Kevin enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends, gardening, and raising beef cattle.  He loved his many hunting dogs over the years, and could often be seen riding around with them or sitting at his picnic table.

Kevin is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth (Betty) Currier; and grandparents, Raymond and Anita McTaggart, Lewis and Gladys Currier.

Kevin is survived by his sister’s, Cindy Flannigan (Thomas) and Karen Smith (John); his nieces and nephews, Carla Horniak(Smith), Jennifer Pittsley (Flannigan), Heather Nelson(Flannigan), Jeffrey Smith, Thomas Flannigan, Jesse Smith and Libby Grenier (Flannigan); and great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday May 25th at the East Topsham Cemetery at 1 p.m.
