Lisa Gail Perreault Fincher

October 21, 1963 – March 12, 2024

Lisa Gail Perreault Fincher, one of this world’s kindest and sweetest souls, passed peacefully and surrounded by love into the Lord’s hands on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama after a very brief illness at the early age of 60.

She was born in Ayer, Massachusetts in 1963 to Albert “Pat” and Simonne (Houle) Perreault, the adored baby of their four children. Lisa attended U-32 in Berlin, Vermont, and later received her Bachelor of Science in Alabama, where she moved with her parents in their retirement upon her graduation from high school. During high school, Lisa worked in Berlin, Vermont at P&C. Lisa loved growing up in Vermont and planned to retire there surrounded by family and friends.

After college, she became a Sales Rep. for Royal Doulton China, a job that would foster her lifelong passion for collecting and teaching others about the strength and beauty of the product. She made sure to share this passion with friends, and to send Royal Doulton ornaments to her nieces each Christmas. She was famous for telling anyone who would listen that you could flip a plate over and stand on it, it was so strong.

Later, Lisa began work at Morgan Stanley, and continued with her group there for over thirty years. Although the team she worked with has a designated name, it is lovingly referred to as “The Fincher Group”; Lisa felt like she was “home” there, and their love and care for her was evident in all the years she worked there, and certainly in her final weeks.

Lisa was married to Adam Fincher, also of Huntsville, Alabama, for 20 years. She had no children, but loved her nieces and their families as if they were her own. Annual trips back to Vermont and visits by them to Alabama, weekly calls, and handwritten cookbooks will always be cherished memories by all. Lisa did love her Katie, her cat that lived through most of her life by her side. We are sure they are very happy in a recliner with a great book together.

Lisa was the best kind of friend to have; whether you saw her weekly, or once a year, she gave you the tightest squeeze and had the most genuine smile that screamed how pleased she was to see you. Her core groups, both of Bama gals and high school friends, were adored by her and truly cherished her. All supported her and her family so well most recently, it is beyond comprehension.

Lisa was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, and attended Saturday evening service, followed by dinner with family and friends, all of whom also spent their time with her these last weeks at. Because of this, in lieu of flowers family requests donations be made in Lisa’s name to your choice of either: Caring for Life Hospice Family Care, 10000 Serenity Lane, Huntsville, AL 35803, or Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, 13550 Chaney Thompson Rd., Huntsville, AL, 35803-2326. Please do not send flowers to the church, as it is Lent.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, “Pat” Albert and Simonne (Houle) Perreault; brother, Mike Perreault; sister-in law, Pamela Perreault; sisters, Robin Perreault and Darice Perreault; nephew, Brian Perreault; and many aunts and uncles.

Lisa is survived by her nieces and their families, Heather and Jason Slayton (Zachary, Cohen, Alanna, Ethan, Haley Slayton), Pamela and Ryan Harrington (Paxton, Rozalie, Vivienne, Vincent), and Mandie and AJ Demers (Faith, Cheyanne, Taylor, Karlie, Caleb, Pogue). She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lorraine Perreault; uncle James and aunt Shirley Perreault; her Aunt Eunice Houle, and many cousins.

A Catholic Mass will be held at the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, Chaney Thompson Rd. Huntsville, AL 35803 on Monday, March 18. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., with mass following at 10:00. Please do not send flowers to the church, as it is Lent.

Lisa will be laid to rest in Vermont at a later date, which will be announced closer to that time.
