LAFEBVRE, ROGER J., 80, of East Oakridge, Fla., passed away March 26, at the JFK Medical Center in Lantana, Fla. Born Oct. 27, 1933, in Stanstead, Quebec, he was the son of the late Roland and Valeda (Geoffrey) Lefebvre. Roger attended schools in Stanstead. In 1952 he came to Barre, where he was employed by the Barre City Street Department and later worked for the state of Vermont Highway Department, until his retirement in 1996. In 1954, he married Jeannine Carbonneau in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. The couple made their home in the Barre City area for many years. Jeannine passed away Feb. 8, 1996. On Sept. 22, 1997, he married Carole Donnelly. They made their home in Woodbury, and wintered in Florida. Carol passed away Sept. 22, 2000. Roger was a former member of St. Monica Catholic Church and the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lantana, Fla. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Fourth Degree; Canadian Club; Barre Elks Lodge 1535; and Loyal Order of Moose Barre Lodge 1391. Survivors include four sisters, Cecile Lefebvre, of Sherbrooke, Quebec; Jackie Cloutier and husband, Norman, of Vero Beach, Fla.; Annette White and husband, Larry, of Vero Beach, Fla.; and Jean Beasse and husband, Peter, of Sherbrooke, Quebec. Also surviving is a brother, John Lefebvre, and wife, Jeannine, of Weeton, Quebec, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Paul Lefebvre.
