Susan “Sue” Rowell Chuongvan, 79, of Madison, formerly of Newtown, CT, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital of complications from advanced Parkinson’s disease. Born on October 3, 1944, in Montpelier, VT, she was the daughter of Richard and Leola Rowell. Sue is survived by her husband of 57 years, Chan Chuongvan, of Madison, and her two sons. She is also survived by her siblings, and extended family. Sue was passionate about gardening and was a cheerful presence for the neighborhood. She also enjoyed reading, skiing, running, walking and a variety of movies. She was the glue to her family and relatives and loved by everyone who knew her. A Celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Saturday September 16th at 11:30 a.m. at the Madison Surf Club. Donations may be made in honor of Susan Chuongvan to: The Michael J.
