HEALY, JAMES NORMAN, 82, of Sanford, Fla., former employee of the state of Vermont, died peacefully at his home on March 3, after a long struggle with renal cell carcinoma. Mr. Healy, son of the late J. Alfred Healy and Katherine MacDonald Healy, of Barre, was a 1953 graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in economics, and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. After leaving Vermont, he owned a printing business in Orlando, Fla., and was a senior appraiser for the County of San Diego in California. Mr. Healy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol Woodward Healy, of Osteen, Fla.; four children from his previous marriage to Beverly Healy, of Barre: daughter Ellen (Bruce) Adams, of Barre, and sons Michael Healy, of New Hampshire, John (Shannon) Healy, of Maitland, Fla., and David Healy, of Oviedo, Fla.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Orr; and brothers Conrad and Frederick Healy; and niece Cecily Orr. He was a gentle man with a delightful, if slightly quirky, sense of humor. He was proud of his children for both their personal and professional accomplishments.
