MARR, JEAN ELEANOR, 93, of Williamstown, died January 28, at Central Vermont Medical Center. She was born June 16, 1920, in Jacksonville, Fla., the daughter of Jean (Rothwell) and Paul C. Clark. She grew up in Hamburg, N.Y., and graduated from Hamburg High School in 1938. She graduated from Fredonia State Teachers College in 1942 with a degree in music education. On Feb. 16, 1946, she married Raymond W. Marr in Hamburg, N.Y. They lived in Cleveland, N.Y., where she raised her family. In 2010, they moved to Vermont to be near their daughter. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards and games, travel, singing and playing piano, and especially enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She bowled, cross-country skied and gave piano lessons. She taught Sunday school and directed the choir in two Cleveland area churches, where she also served as a deacon and an elder. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Candace Gabriel, of Chicago, Judith Lusk, of Roxbury, and Susan VanDeVelde, of Eureka, Calif.; and two granddaughters.
