HUTCHINS, MARY F., 91, of Hyde Park and Greensboro, was born in Fair Haven, Nov. 2, 1922, to Frank and Hazel (Ames) Hoag. She passed on to her next adventure January 31. She graduated from Burlington High School, attended the University of Vermont and graduated from Albany Business School in New York. Mary served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, leaving to marry Morris L. Allen of the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1945. They had two children and were later divorced. In 1967, she married Gaylord O. Hutchins, of Morrisville. They lived in Morrisville and Hyde Park. Mary loved exploring new places, cultures and ideas; music; reading; and cats. She wrote stories for her children, did creative stitching, and was known for her dumplings and her love of the precise English language. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gaylord; brother, Stephen Hoag, of Torrance, Calif.; and great-grandson Eric Reed, of North Wolcott. Mary is survived by daughters Sujan and husband Gary Yates, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Ginger and husband Norm Etkind, of South Woodbury; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Also several nephews, nieces and cousins throughout the country, Canada and England. Mary enjoyed several lovely years at the Craftsbury Community Care Center before moving to the Greensboro Nursing Home, where she also found happiness and comfort.
