Peter John Ackermann — In the home that he built on a lush, green hill with an amazing view of the Green Mountains, Peter John Ackermann peacefully passed away in his own bed while he slept. Pete spent his free time doing puzzles and building scale models of farm equipment. Peter was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania, on March 3, 1956, and he was raised in Cabot, Vermont, which he called home for 60 years. Pete is survived by his wife, children, mother, brother, grandchildren and extended family. In keeping with Peter’s wishes, a private celebration will be held at a later date.
