DICKINSON, MORTON W., 66, died November 20, at Gifford Medical Center. He was born Nov. 21, 1946, in Northfield, the son of Myrle F. and Ruth (Demar) Dickinson. He was raised in Roxbury and Northfield and served in the Vermont National Guard during the Vietnam War period. He also lived in Braintree before recently moving to Randolph. He married Linda Day in Northfield on June 18, 1966. He was an auto mechanic and owned Mort’s Auto Repair in Northfield, before working in the granite industry in Northfield and Barre. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, reading and helping others. Survivors include his wife; his sons, Pete Dickinson, of Windsor, and Tim Dickinson, of Northfield; sisters Betty Dustin, Beverly Dukette and Rita Dunican, all of Northfield; brother Everett Dickinson, of Hyde Park; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Melvin “Pete” Dickinson and Hylan “Hiedie” Dickinson and a sister, Allison Maxham-Pedroso.
