PEACE, MARJORIE M., 94, died November 18, at the Mayo Nursing Home in Northfield. She was born Jan. 28, 1919, in Clinton, Maine, the daughter of Harold and Arvilla (Perkins) Watson. She graduated valedictorian from Clinton High School in Clinton, Maine, class of 1936. She married Harold Peace in 1936 in Clinton, Maine. They moved to Northfield in 1941. Harold predeceased her in 1969. Marjorie had worked as a nurse’s aide at Mayo Healthcare for many years, waitressed at the Red Kettle in Northfield, and provided private elder care to many friends and family. She was a member of the Northfield Senior Center and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Northfield. She enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking, boating, country music and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Garcia, and husband, Paul, of Northfield; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Peace, of Northfield; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie is predeceased by her son, Alan Peace, and her siblings, Myron Watson and Phyllis Scharleman.
