Timothy Lee “Tim” Doyle

Chelsea, VT – Timothy Lee “Tim” Doyle, 71 died Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin, VT.

He was born September 1, 1948 in Montpelier, VT the son of Leo F. and Betty (Mears) Doyle.  He attended school in Chelsea and later, Hester Camp’s school in Tunbridge, VT for many years.

Tim lived with his parents, and worked on the family Dairy Farm in Chelsea.  When both his parents died, Tim went to live with his brother, Pat and his wife, Margaret.  He lived several years at Riverbend Residential Home in Chelsea, VT until moving to Woodridge Nursing Home two years ago.

He was a member of the Chelsea Fish & Game Club and the United Church of Chelsea.  He enjoyed riding snow machines, 4-wheelers and “tinkering on” lawnmowers.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing bingo, attending church services, eating beef jerky, wintering with his parents in Florida and going to the beach.

He had an outgoing, friendly personality and enjoyed easily, making new friends and talking with his old friends.

He is survived by his brother, Pat Doyle and his wife, Margaret of Orange, VT; a sister, Linda Eastman and her husband, Don Eastman of Bracy, VA; a sister-in-law, Linda Doyle of Chelsea, VT; his aunt, Julia DeGoosh of Riverton, VT and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Thomas Doyle, Sr.

There are no public calling hours.  A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring in Highland Cemetery in Chelsea, VT.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Chelsea Fish & Game Club, P.O. Box 262, Chelsea, VT 05038.  A private message of sympathy for the family can be shared at www.boardwayandcilley.com.  The Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home, Chelsea, VT is in charge of arrangements.
