Fred Dupre, 59, of Rocky Road passed away on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin with his family at his side. Born Dec. 22, 1960, in Rutland, he was the son of Charles and Emma (Harter) Dupre, who passed away when he was young, and he was raised by David and MaryAnn Rocque. Chris attended local Barre elementary schools and graduated from Spaulding High School with the class of 1978. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served until he was honorably discharged. On Aug. 22, 1980, he married Terrie Griffin in Barre. Survivors include his wife, parents, sisters, children, brother and extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate his life was held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, in the St. Monica Catholic Church, 79 Summer St., Barre. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Palliative and Spiritual Care Room, c/o Central Vermont Medical Center, 130 Fisher Road, Barre, VT 05641.
