He was a member of Green Mountain Gospel Chapel in Randolph and Dewitt Clinton Masonic Lodge in Northfield.  He was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman. Scott was an avid collector of antiques, model cars and many other things he found of interesting. He enjoyed reading history and loved nature. He enjoyed the challenge of solving issues for clients, whether it was a stone wall, garden or shed, his creativity always was appreciated by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa of Northfield; his mother, Mary Lou Benoir of Randolph; three children, Brittany, Kate Benoir, both of Northfield, Christiana Benoir of Montpelier; three stepchildren, Samuel Drinkwine of United Kingdom, Isaac Drinkwine of Williamstown, Micah Drinkwine of Northfield; his brother, Kenneth Benoir of Randolph; beloved foster siblings, Joe Dezan of Randolph, John, Jonah, Jason Dezan and Linda Bombard, all of Ellenburg, NY; four grandchildren, Ivan Clark, Isobel Drinkwine and Christina & Mireya Rollins.

He is predeceased by his foster parents, Marilyn & Joe Dezan; his stepson, John Amos Drinkwine.
