Lina M. LeBlanc, 94, passed away on June 14, 2018. Born in St. Ferdinand, Quebec, on May 7, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Leophile and Annee (Gosselin) Fortier. Lina attended schools in Canada. On Sept. 1, 1948, she married Aurele LeBlanc in Ste. Ferdinand, Quebec. The couple resided in Canada until 1959 when they moved to Barre. She started doing child care for a neighbor. Lina was an avid seamstress and enjoyed knitting (especially checkered mittens). Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Her husband passed away on July 2, 2012. Lina was employed as a housekeeper and cook at St. Monica’s Rectory for many years. Survivors include Diane (Bruce) Blood, of Belfast, ME, Yvan (Donna) LeBlanc, of Williamstown, VT, Helene (Dennis) Marquis, of Warren, ME; as well as grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She is also survived by two brothers Ludovie (Rose Estelle) Fortier, of Thetford Mines, Canada, and Bertrand (Yolande) Fortier, of Ottawa, Ontario; two sisters-in-law Rose Fortier and Alfreda Fortier, both of Barre; many nieces and nephews.
