Ray William McKinstry Sr. was born in New Milford, CT, to Raymond McKinstry and Glady Thompson. Ray ran his own contracting business for more than 40 years, built many houses from start to finish until the last few years when he was taken ill and his daughter, Bambi, and one of his pride and joys, Bambi’s daughter, Brianna Rose, took care of him. He had four children; a great-granddaughter, one son-in-law, George; 12 brothers and sisters: Michael and wife Michele, Glen, Richard, John, Johnny, Mark, Sam (Boomer), Polly, Mary, Glady, Betsy and Emma.
