GONYAW, DONNA LEE, 56, of East Hardwick, died September 18, at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1956, in Lowell, the daughter of Wilfred and Lorrette (Bovin) Sheltra. She attended Lamoille Union School in Hyde Park. On April 27, 1974, she married Danny Lee Gonyaw in Hyde Park. They lived most of their married life in East Hardwick. She worked in the housekeeping department at Greensboro Nursing Home. She was also a seamstress, sewing quilts at home. Later she baked at the Village Diner in Hardwick. She retired in 2006 due to failing health. She enjoyed hunting with her husband. Survivors include her husband and two sons, Dan Gonyaw and Jan Gonyaw, all of East Hardwick; three grandchildren; her mother, Lorrette Mitchell, of Michigan; a brother, Richard Sheltra, of South Carolina; three sisters, Linda Kent, Debbie Elliott and Sandy Clarey, all of Michigan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father and three siblings: Annette Sheltra, Gloria Willey and Reginald Sheltra.
