NORMANDEAU, ROSEMARY CHRISTINE WHITE, 77, of Barre, died September 15, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 9, 1935, in Montpelier, the daughter of Clayton and Ellen White. She graduated from St. Michael’s High School in June of 1953. She married her high school sweetheart, Leonard Normandeau, on March 26, 1955. They lived the majority of their married life in Barre, raising six children. They enjoyed many years of family camping, most notably at Ricker Pond in Groton. Rosemary was the author of Eating Without a Mother Around, for those leaving home without the sense of how to cook. She was also an occasional contributor of articles for The Times Argus. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leonard, and her children Carl Normandeau and wife, Lauri, of York, Va., Carol Breen, of Kirby, Vt., Nancy Clough and husband, Jonathan, of Dalton Gardens, Idaho, Kevin Normandeau and wife, Jamie, of Hopkinton, Mass., Ellen Bowen and husband, Russell, of Derby Line, and Daniel Normandeau, of Barre; seven grandchildren; her brothers, David and Thomas, and their families; two special sisters-in-law, Annette Safford and Teresa Orr, and all their family. She was predeceased by a son, Phillip Normandeau, and her sister, Dorothy Rees. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of her life will be held at the American Legion Post in Barre on Oct. 12, 2013, at noon. A later burial will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center.
