WALD, HELEN EDITH CERASOLI, 91, of Cabot, raised in Barre, died peacefully at home on August 26. She was predeceased by her mother, Eva Kurz, of Cabot, and her beloved husband, Dr. Arthur Wald, of New York, N.Y. Surviving family are daughter Lolly Arena, of Cabot; one grandson; two great-granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen lived a passionate life. She enjoyed cooking, art design, gardening, and was fortunate to be able to travel with her husband to see the Seven Wonders of the World. In her early 20s, Helen moved to New York and became gainfully employed as private secretary to the vice president of CBS. For the following 20 years, Helen was admired and recognized for her creativity, dedication and commitment to excellence. Above all else, Helen loved her family and never lost sight of her promise to provide a better life for them. Barre, class of ’39 … see you in the stars!
