Ann Harper Endres, who died Nov. 3, 2017, was born in Long Island, NY, on April 19, 1929, to Earl and Grace Harper. Ann lived with her parents in Long Island until she was 16 years old and her mother decided to move the family to rural Vermont. They bought an old house and property in South Royalton. Ann left college and Vermont at the age of 19 to marry the love of her life, Eddie, who was in the Army. Ann and Eddie, a career soldier, lived in many locations throughout Europe and the United States. She and Eddie divorced in 1975. Ann became an award-winning freelance photographer and worked for several well-known political campaigns, the Baltusrol Golf Club, the Bernards Twp school district and Somerset Hospital in New Jersey. She was sought after and renowned for her stunningly beautiful candid portraits of children, which won several awards. After a trip to mountainous, rural Vernon in New Jersey, Ann decided to move back. She gave up photography and settled in the parsonage in Tunbridge in 1982. Ann will always be remembered by those who knew her well and loved her as a free spirit who was an independent thinker, adventurous and who had an incomparable zest for, and love of, life and people.
