Agatha M. LeBlanc, 100, from Cassie Street in Barre passed away peacefully on Nov. 4, 2017, at the Woodridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Berlin with her family by her bedside. She was 12 days short of her 101st birthday, a goal she wanted to achieve. She was born in Graniteville, VT, on Nov. 16, 1916, the daughter of the late Albert and Leonie (Jacques) Bilodeau. She attended Holy Ghost School in Graniteville. On Sept. 29, 1934, she married Oliver LeBlanc at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Graniteville. They lived in Williamstown, VT, for many years before moving to Barre and then to Fort Lauderdale, FL. Oliver passed away Nov. 22, 1989, and Agatha returned to live in South Barre until 2008. She then made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Paul Plante. In her earlier years, she enjoyed the activities at the Barre Senior Center. She was an expert seamstress and clothed all of her children. She worked very hard to make sure that her family was well fed by canning hundreds of quarts of vegetables and fruits. Surviving are her children: Joseph LeBlanc, of West Chester, PA; Albert LeBlanc and his wife, Siriporn Nasomjai, of Binghamton, NY; Raymond LeBlanc and his wife, Nancy, of Acworth, NH; Michealine Westergren and her husband, Gary, of Sanbornton, NH; Charlene Plante and her husband, Paul, of Barre; Gary LeBlanc and his wife, Flossie Miller, of Williston; and Leonard LeBlanc and his wife, Joyce, of South Barre. Agatha was also a loving grandmother, sister, and friend.
