GREEN, LEROY A., 79, of Randolph, died July 4, at his home. He was born March 9, 1934, in Willimantic, Conn., the son of Ariel and Irene (Wallen) Green. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and married Shirley Harrington on June 28, 1959. In Connecticut, he was a youth group leader at Ashford Baptist Church before moving to Randolph in 1972. He worked at Ethan Allen Furniture manufacturing from 1972 to 1989. He was a member of Green Mountain Gospel Chapel, Sons of the American Revolution, the American Legion and VFW.
He enjoyed genealogy, bowling and marching in the military details of Randolph parades, including the Fourth of July parade on the day he died. Survivors include three daughters, Wendy MacKenzie, of Bethel, and Susan Bolles and Heather Green, of Randolph; two siblings, Robert Greene and Evelyn Green, of Connecticut; and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Peter and Edward Green; five siblings, Edward, Herbert and Mary Green, Irene Berquist and Ruth Eisner; and a granddaughter.
