Congratulations to the Mad River Valley Little League team, who captured its first tournament in 54 years. The team defeated Brattleboro last week to win the title. The game ended on a triple by Caleb Kingsbury.
Logan Cook, Mad River Valley League president, said, “Our team worked extremely hard, practicing five days a week for over a month. They played defensive, solid, and smart baseball. They were relentless on the bases, and had extremely hard outs at the plate. They earned every win with determination and passion.”
The all-stars were introduced on the Mountaineer Baseball Field prior to the first play-off game on Monday night.
