Editor,
The week of April 10-17 is National Volunteer Week. Central Vermont Adult Basic Education (CVABE) salutes and honors the importance of our volunteer partners for their role in ensuring the success and powerful impact of our education services.
As CVABE celebrates 50 years in service to the communities of Washington, Orange and Lamoille Counties, we acknowledge and honor the fact that volunteers have been an integral part of CVABE’s commitment to adult education and literacy since the very beginning of our service history. We could not do our work effectively without our amazing volunteers. They give freely of their time, expertise, patience, and compassion for their neighbors in need of education services.
An integral part of CVABE’s mission is to engage the whole community in its efforts toward fostering full literacy for adults throughout the tri-county area of central Vermont. Our program’s efforts have powerful impacts because of our volunteers’ contributions over the years. They bring immeasurable resources to all that CVABE’s services offer.
Simply stated, central Vermont lives have been changed and improved because of more than 125 active volunteers during this past year alone. If you know a CVABE volunteer, please thank them; they deserve every bit of recognition we can all offer.
