Dear Editor,
I enjoyed reading the article regarding the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918. My grandfather was another one of the casualties of the epidemic. Although the family lived in Burlington, Vermont at the time, Arthur Young, age 27, died that October at the Ethan Allen Club, leaving his 19 year old wife and three young children ages 3, 2, and under 1 year. My father was the oldest. The family would eventually move to Graniteville, Vermont where my father would graduate from Spaulding High School.
