BARRE, ROBERT EDWARD, passed away of health-related issues on July 26 at Heartland Rehab Center in Sarasota, Fla. “Bob” was born on March 3, 1938 in Holy Oak, Mass. As a young man, Bob served on a Destroyer in the U. S. Navy. He later went on to become an Executive Chef and worked in Vermont, New York, Nevada, California and Florida. He retired as an Executive Chef in 2004 while at Nova University in Davie, Fla., which also served as the home training camp of the Miami Dolphins. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife Carol Barre of 41 years, his five children – Tracy Barre, Cheryl Barre, Tim Barre, Jeff Skelton and Rick Skelton. Bob was also proud of his seven grandchildren who he loved very much. Bob was a devoted Yankee fan. He was dearly loved by all and will be sincerely missed.
