The Friends of the Aldrich Library in Barre want to thank all the wonderful people who came and supported our 14th annual Winter Banquet and Auction, which was held at the Barre Elks Club on Jan. 30. After a delicious meal catered by the club, a lively auction led by our friend, Dave Sanguinetti, made for a delightful and fun time. In addition, all throughout the evening, many silent auction items were displayed, creating friendly opportunities for outbidding friends and neighbors!
Our special thanks go to John “chief cook and bottle washer” and his staff at the Elks for the meal, Ben and Jerry’s for donating ice cream for dessert and ALL the many merchants and locals who do-nated such wonderful items for the auction. It was a big success. We made more than last year and that’s always an awesome feeling!
The Friends put in many hours of work to have this positive result and I appreciate all the work they do. As always, all proceeds go directly to the library for programs and events for all ages.
Thank you for supporting our library, it’s a local treasure we all should appreciate.
President, Friends of the Aldrich Library
