TERRY, REV. KEITH E.
TERRY, REV. KEITH E., of Sanborn, N.Y., went home to be with the Lord that he loved on November 4, at his residence, under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in Sayre, Pa., March 7, 1933, the son of the late Delbert V. and Ruth B. (Romans) Terry. Mr. Terry graduated from Vestal High School and from the Eastern Bible Institute (now known as Valley Forge Christian College). He was the founding pastor of what is now called the New Life Worship Center in Barre and pastor of the Assemblies of God Church in both Keene and Claremont, N.H., before coming to the Lewiston (N.Y.) Assembly of God Church in 1977. Mr. Terry became the administrative assistant with the New York District Assemblies of God from 1989 until 1999. He also served as the youth and Christian education director for the Northern New England District of Assemblies of God. Mr. Terry enjoyed camping, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and gardening and was an avid reader. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeannette K. (VanValkenburg) Terry, to whom he was married on June 19, 1954; two sons, Keith R. (Danielle) Terry, of Carthage, N.Y., and Kevin (Brad White) Terry, of Buffalo, N.Y.; two daughters, Linda (late Charles) Chaney, of Carthage, N.Y., and Melody (Joel) Wilkins, of Youngstown, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; also one brother, Stephen Terry; two sisters, Olive Ray and Barbara Terry; a sister-in-law, Susan Terry; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Delbert V. Terry Jr.
