MORRIE, ALBERT ARTHUR, 62
MORRIE, ALBERT ARTHUR, 62, of Washington, passed away on September 16, in an accident on Emery Road in the town of Orange. Born in Barre on Aug. 1, 1950, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Arlene (Beede) Morrie. Albert attended Washington Village School and Spaulding High School. As a young man he joined the Army National Guard. On Jan. 5, 1974, he married Lee Ann Coyne in St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in East Barre. The couple have always made their home in Washington. Mrs. Morrie passed away on June 18, 1992. Following in his father's footsteps, he purchased the family farm in November of 1974, milking cows, running the sawmill, and producing maple syrup. He continued to maintain the family farm, raising beef cattle since 1988, while working over the years for Moran Excavating, Anderson Concrete and most recently for Bond Auto. Survivors include four children, Eric Morrie of San Jose, Calif.; Lesa Morrie of Atlanta, Ga.; Luke Morrie and wife, Mindy of Lancaster, Pa. and Adam Morrie and companion, Heather Thayer of Washington; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Bailey of Williamstown; Marion Abbott and husband, Dick of Orange; Barbara Buzwell and husband, John of Groton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
