PEARSON, JAMES F., 64


PEARSON, JAMES F., 64, of Marshfield, died September 18, at his home, with his family by his side. Born on Oct. 24, 1947, in Montclair, N.J., he was the son of Paul A. Pearson and E. Louise (Carlson) Pearson. He attended high school in Verona, N.J. and Upsala College in East Orange, N.J. On Sept. 4, 1965, he married Sandra G. Strom. They lived in East Orange before moving to Marshfield in 1969. He was an accomplished mason prior to retiring. He built many fireplaces, chimneys, masonry wood furnaces, and stone walls in the central Vermont area as well as the Champlain Valley. He also built many beautiful wooden boats and was an avid sailor on Lake Champlain, as well as in the Florida Keys and the Caribbean. He is survived by his wife Sandra; his brothers Tom Pearson and wife Karen Murray of Marshfield and Bob Pearson of Plainfield; his sister Linda Pearson of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; his daughters Amanda Canavan and husband Joseph of Montpelier, Beth Pearson and partner Joseph Roque of Colchester; his son August Pearson and wife Michele of Mooresville, N.C.; and four grandchildren. He had a special fondness for Lily and Iris.
