TARDIE, THEODORE J., 83
TARDIE, THEODORE J., 83, of South Hero, died August 30 at Birchwood Terrace Health Care. He was born in Shelburne on July 31, 1929, the son of the late Theodore and Eva (Boutin) Tardie. He owned Tardie Memorials on the Barre-Montpelier Road for many years. He loved to hunt, fish and ride his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Georgette Tardie of South Hero; their children, Eugene Tardie of Berlin, Marie Tardie of East Montpelier, Ellen Alvarez of Tennessee, Maurice Tardie of Fredericksburg, Va., Thomas Tardie of Northfield Falls, and Jacqueline Bettis of Jericho; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Armand Tardie of South Barre. He was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Sept. 4, 2012, at Christ the King Church in Burlington.
