Congratulations to Northfield Baseball Team and Coach Pecora

Congratulations to the Northfield Boys Baseball Team for winning the Division III Championship. They also had an outstanding season, with 17 victories and one defeat.
Congratulations also to retiring baseball coach Frank Pecora for his 38 years of coaching his team to 488 victories. Of his 38 years of coaching, 37 years were winning seasons. Winning the championship this year was his 15th state championship.
A significant aspect of Pecora's coaching was his taking his team to Florida for one week prior to the season. Funding for the trips came from the Northfield community.
At the beginning of the legislative session next year, area legislators along with myself will introduce a resolution congratulating this year's baseball team and its outstanding retiring head coach, Frank Pecora.
