FRENETTE, PATRICIA O'BRIEN TROTTIER, 73, of Garden Valley, Idaho, passed away on June 1. Pat was born on Nov. 24, 1938, in Northfield, to William O'Brien and Lea (Belanger) O'Brien. She attended St. Monica's Grade School and was a 1956 graduate of Spaulding High School. Her first marriage to Charles Trottier produced four children, JoAnn, Lynn, Charles and Robert. They resided in Barre, where Pat worked tirelessly to support her family. She met Jean Frenette in 1971 and later relocated to Taft, Calif., where the pair started a very successful construction company and later wed. In 2000, the couple retired to a beautiful mountainside cabin in Garden Valley. Pat was an extremely kind and generous woman who would go out of her way to help anyone in need. She was an outstanding cook with a lively personality and a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Jean; daughter Lynn and husband, Charles Slinkard, of Garden Valley, Idaho; son Charles, of Barre; son Robert and wife, Pamela, of Williamstown.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Mike, and wife, Corinne, and many nieces and nephews. She had recently welcomed into her family three stepchildren, Jean, James and Serena, of Bangkok, Thailand, and their children. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, JoAnn Trottier Wardle; and her sisters, Margaret Day and Dorothy Drinkwine.
