Support Scott, An Effective Leader

Washington county residents are very fortunate to be represented by a Senator who tackles his legislative responsibilities with a keen mind, a strong business background, personal integrity, and a common sense approach to achieving results.
Senator Phil Scott is an effective leader who can reach across party lines to develop the best possible solutions to complex problems.
In addition to his public service, in his quiet and unassuming way, Senator Scott takes action and gets personally involved in improving his neighbors’ lives. In 2005, Phil launched the annual Wheels for Warmth program that helps residents dispose of unsafe tires as well as gently used tires that can be resold at a reasonable price. The proceeds help to fund the local Community Action fuel assistance program for low-income Vermonters.
In February 2007, during the infamous Valentine blizzard, Senator Scott personally rallied fellow contractors and other volunteers who tirelessly shoveled snow from local barn roofs, saving several local farms from devastating financial losses. Phil not only organizes, but is in the trenches himself on these and other community projects.
Senator Scott demonstrates the qualities we need in a statewide leadership position and hopefully he’ll take that step in the future. In the meantime, please support him in his Senate race.
