Vote Pollina for Real Change

(by Robert Kidd Montpelier - October 08, 2008)

Editor:

This year there is a lot of talk around the word about change and the presidential candidates are bombarding the nation with that message. It is refreshing that the presidential debate is passionately engaging Vermonters; however many Vermonters are ignoring the election in which they have strongest voice, the governor's race.

The national candidates are correct, the time is ripe for change; conversely we need change in Montpelier. In Vermont, we have a historic opportunity to make progressive change a reality. But first, the question is, is Vermont better than it was six years ago, four years ago, or two years ago under Douglass' Governorship or Symington's Speakership? The answer is clearly no, so the logical step is to vote for Anthony Pollina the candidate that offers a real change.

Vermont deserves a governor that helps farmers, finds jobs for workers, and feeds and heats families. Vermont needs a governor willing to invest in Vermont for today and the future, not one who blames the legislature or compromises Vermonters values. Come November 4, you and I will vote our hopes, and make historic change by voting Anthony Pollina for Governor of Vermont.
