DONEY, JACQUELINE, 66, of Northfield Falls, died September 22 of a "broken heart" at her home. She was born in Montpelier, Nov. 21, 1941, the daughter of Clifton and Barbara (Houghton) Alexander. She attended Montpelier, Riverton and Northfield Schools. She married George A. Doney on Jan. 16, 1960, at White Memorial Chapel in Northfield. George predeceased her July 31, 2003. Jackie worked for New England Telephone Company for five years, then for Norwich University as a switchboard operator for over 21 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Northfield. She enjoyed attending Norwich Hockey games as well as her grandchildrens' sporting activities. She loved to spend time with her family and taking care of her two best friends, her cats, "Cooper" & "Renay." Survivors include her son, G. Jeff Doney and wife, Boni of Northfield Falls; two grandchildren; her brother, Robert Alexander and wife, Donna, of Worcester; and a nephew. In addition to her husband,, she is predeceased by her daughter, Sandra Doney, and her brother, Gary Alexander.
