TESSIER, ROLLAND H., 82

TESSIER, ROLLAND H., 82, of Barre Town, passed away September 19 at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Born in Barre on May 6, 1926, he was the son of the late Henry and Leonide Florence (Marin) Tessier. Rolland attended Lowell High School in Lowell, Mass. and was a graduate of the Class of 1944. He also attended four years of college. After serving several years in the army, Rolland was honorably discharged in January 1960, having made the rank of sergeant. During this time Rolland became disabled. On Oct. 1, 1960, he married Patricia Connors in Nashua, N.H. In 1965 they moved to Richardson Road in Barre Town. Rolland enjoyed working in his woodworking shop, deer hunting and gardening. He was a member of St. Monica's Parish. Other memberships included the American Legion Post 10, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years of marriage, Patricia of Barre; two sons, Rolland Tessier Jr and wife Katharine of Barre, Patrick Tessier and companion Karen Wells of Barre; two grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Tessier and wife Lois of Louisiana. Rolland was predeceased by his son Carl Tessier.
