MILLS-BROWN, PAUL M., 71

MILLS-BROWN, PAUL M., 71, of Montpelier, died September 18 at Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin. He was born in Boston on Aug. 8, 1937, to Paul M. and Martha E. (Perkins) Brown. He received his BA and MA from Boston University. He married Mary (Jackie) Mills on Aug. 8, 1963. Paul was a teacher at Harwood Union High School from 1967 to 1986 and the Harwood Union Junior High School science teacher on Team B. He was assistant curator of the St. Johnsbury Museum of Science from 1965 to 1967. He was a member of Christ Church in Montpelier since 1971 and sang in the choir. He was a snare drummer with the Green Mountain Regiment Fife and Drum Corps. Paul was a member of Demolay and Acacia Fraternity and for several years was known as the "waving crossing guard" in Montpelier until he retired in 2007. He is survived by sons, Christian Mills-Brown of Calais and Peter Mills-Brown and wife Amanda of Williamstown; and two granddaughters.
