RUSSELL, DELORISE DELOUISE EVELYN, 86, died in the comfort of her family in Clearlake, Calif., on January 29, 2008. Born in Washington on March 3, 1921, she was the daughter of Walter E. Paton and Laura (Lezer) Paton. She attended public schools in Washington and Barre. She worked at the mica plant in Barre as part of the war effort during World War II. She married Bud Russell on May 16, 1942. They had four sons. They left Vermont in 1951 and settled in California, where she remained for the rest of her life, living in San Bruno and more recently in Clearlake. Delorise took a job working for United Airlines in 1956 and remained there until her retirement in 1983. She is survived by her sons, John R. Russell of Clearlake, Calif.; Steven R. Russell of Washington state; and Randall L. Russell of Clearlake, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Roland Paton of Lyndon; a brother, Oland Paton of East Barre; a sister, Sylvia Mercier of Bangor, Maine; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Edson R. Russell; her parents; her brother, Walter (Earl) Paton; her brother, Thomas Clinton Paton; her sister, Henrietta (Pat) Gordon; her sister, Laura Emerick; her sister, Marion Laventure; a brother, Lawrence (Larry) Paton; a brother, Raymond Paton and a sister, Evelyn Paton.
