MORRIE, JOY LOUISA, 90, of Claremont, N.H., died September 14 at the Haven Health Center of Claremont. She was born in Pittsburg, N.H., on Sept. 2, 1918, the daughter of Earl and Florence (Aldrich) Farnsworth and lived in East Barre for 42 years and in Claremont for the past nine years. Mrs. Morrie retired from the U.S. Post Office in Websterville where she was the postmaster for 24 years. She was a member of the Barre Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, horseback riding, hunting and fishing. She also cared for elders of her family. She was the widow of Ogalva Victor Morrie, whom she married on Dec. 26, 1955. He died in 1978. The surviving family includes one son, David M. Morrie and wife Rebecca of Claremont, N.H.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchilden; one sister, Maxine Farnham of Washington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her stepmother, Lena Farnsworth.
