Palin a Frightening Choice

John McCain is a 72 year-old man with very real and serious health concerns (melanoma), who's running to become the United States 44th president! Now, after one meeting, he selects as his VP, a women who despite her claims, is a good friend of big oil.

Sarah Palin has only three years of public service experience. One as the mayor of her small Alaskan town (pop. 6,470), and two years -- one term -- as governor of the state (pop.700,000). She has no foreign policy experience, stating she knows very little about what is happening in Iraq! She has said that she isn't sure what a VP does, and has actively sought the approval of, and currently supports, the AIP (Alaskan Independent Party), a group vigorously pursuing the secession of Alaska from the United States.

She also stated that she would only consider the position of Vice President, if it would be productive for the state of Alaska! She doesn't believe global warming exists, and sued the Interior Department to have polar bears removed from the protected species list, to not inconvenience the Alaskan gas pipeline project. She is an ex-catholic, rabid anti-abortionist, believing that under no circumstances should a woman ever be allowed to have an abortion, and stands against equal work for equal pay.

She supported the bridge to nowhere until it unfavorably polled, then she not only reversed her position, she kept the federal government's appropriated money. She claims to be a reformer, but quit her job as ethics commissioner after a year, stating that the Republican Party was too corrupt to fulfill her job duties.

She opposes civil rights for gays/lesbians as well as benefits for domestic partners. She is a proponent of creationism teaching in schools, and a promoter of work over higher education.

Truth is, the list is long and the reality frightening. It is unfathomable that the GOP really expects this country to accept the possibility that she qualifies for the position of vice president, let alone assume the presidency if need be.

Enough is enough! Vote to make Barack Obama/Joe Biden the next President/Vice President of the United States!
