BRADLEY, VIOLET M., 87


BRADLEY, VIOLET M., 87, of West Lebanon, N.H., died September 19 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born July 30, 1923, in Scottstown, Quebec, a daughter of Emile and Regina (Provost) Perrault. After moving to the United States at the age of four she attended school in Northfield, St. Albans and Montpelier. She worked briefly as a waitress in Bellows Falls before the outbreak of World War II when she began working for the Canadian National Railroad as chief telegram operator in New London, Conn. She was married to Harry Bradley Sept. 4, 1949, in Montpelier. They made their home in Roxbury and later in Northfield where they operated the Pioneer Restaurant for 17 years. They then lived in Proctorsville before moving to West Lebanon, N.H., where they have lived for the past 25 years. Since moving to West Lebanon they have operated Big Money Bingo to assist nonprofits with fundraising. The Bradleys have spent winters in Zephyrhills, Fla., for the past 12 years. Violet was a loving wife and mother who will be dearly missed by all. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of Carter Country Club in Lebanon. She was also a member of the Order of Foresters in Northfield. She is predeceased by two brothers, Jacques and James Perrault. She is survived by her husband of 61 years of West Lebanon; her three children, Ronald Bradley and wife Joan of Swanton, Terry Ann Ranney and husband Scott of Cavendish, Scott Bradley and wife Kathleen of Weathersfield; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
