Many thanks to the 119 residents of Waitsfield who responded to the annual Town Meeting survey. Waitsfield strongly supported broadband, locally-grown food, and said drivers should be prohibited from texting while driving. Below are some of the comments from Waitsfield.
HEALTH: “My Catamount Health premium more than doubled this year. It went from $120 a month to $304 a month. For my spouse and me, this is not affordable.”
PRESIDENT OBAMA: “I am hopeful and will give him time to get some of his ideas in place.”
CELL PHONES: “Cell phones and drivers are the issue. They are mostly bad drivers to begin with.”
“We need better and more reliable cell service, which is definitely not affordable. It seems that we╒ve been sacrificed for the benefit of the phone companies.”
TAXES: “In Waitsfield, the amount of money collected for state government was greater than that collected for our municipality.”
