Thanks from Altrusa Club

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped make the Altrusa Club’s Summer Reading Grand Slam a success this July.

    First, thanks to the VT Mountaineers who have worked with Altrusa for the last two years to present this project. Over 100 children have been allowed into a Mountaineers game for free, and have been recognized for their reading accomplishments by being introduced on the infield before the game.

Thanks are also due to several local businesses and organizations that helped to sponsor the game the children attended, and helped with printing and distribution of posters and participation forms.

The Altrusa International, Inc of Barre is looking forward to working with these groups again next summer to present the third annual Summer Reading Grand Slam.
