BASHAW, MERRILL C. SR., 59
BASHAW, MERRILL C. SR., 59, of Montpelier, died February 20 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1950, in Brattleboro, the son of the late Harry and Iona (Miner) Bashaw. Merrill attended local schools and received his GED from Spaulding High. In July 1971 he was married to Carol Smith. They later divorced. Merrill retired from Leszko Cleaning Co. after many years of service. Merrill enjoyed watching sports on television, fishing, doing puzzles and hanging out with his friends. Merrill is survived by his seven children, Merrill Bashaw Jr. of Twin Mountain, N.H.; Heather Bashaw of Barre; Joe Blodgett of Williston; Kerri Sanborn of Graniteville; Michael Bashaw of Orange; Jaime Spencer of Orange; and Josh Bashaw of Maine; twenty grandchildren; a sister, Linda Covey, of Brattleboro; two brothers Wayne Bashaw of North Carolina and William Bashaw of Boston, Mass. He is predeceased by a sister, Harriene Hayes, and two nieces, Shari Perkins and Shelly Bashaw.
