PROULX, KRISTEN BETH
PROULX, KRISTEN BETH, died at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., on January 21, following a prolonged illness. At her side was her fiancé, Greg Garratt of Victor, N.Y. Kristen was born on May 6, 1966, in Burlington, the daughter of Raymond J. and Nancie Rousse Proulx. Kristen attended Spaulding High School and was a graduate of Trinity College in Burlington. She began her teaching career at Waterbury Elementary School and was most recently employed by the Victor, N.Y. school department. In 1987, she married Mark Eisenwinter of Barre. They were the parents of three children, Olivia, Aubree and Jake Eisenwinter who reside in St. Cloud, Minn., and summered with their mom at their beloved cottage in Vermont. Surviving Kristen are her parents, her maternal grandmother, Jean Rousse of Barre, her brother Michael and Karlyn Proulx and their children, Addison and Ruby Jane of East Calais, her godparents Robert and Susan Rousse of South West Ranches, Fla., her uncles and aunts Clarence and Jeanne Mills of Meyer, Ariz., and Edward and Roberta Proulx of Burlington. Kristen also leaves her forever friend and soul mate Maria Barton of Delanson, N.Y. A funeral mass will be said on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at 10am at St. Monica Church in Barre.
