LANPHER, BEULAH B., 72, of Rutland, died January 25 at Rutland Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Dec. 1, 1937, in Rutland, the daughter of Wilbur and Bertha (Tarbell) Griffin. She graduated from Whitcomb High School in Bethel, and was married to Robert L. Lanpher on April 27, 1956. She worked for the Hancock Plywood Mill, Lyons Drug Store, Market Basket, Skip Mart, Randolph National Bank in Rochester and G.W. Plastics in Bethel, and for the Howard Bank and First Vermont Bank in Rutland. She enjoyed sports, reading and collecting spoons. She had 12 poems printed in the National Library of Poetry. She was a member of the Rochester Federated Church, Hope Chapter #50 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Taylor of Warrenton, Va., Darla Yale of West Rutland; son, Randy Lanpher of Midland, Va.; brothers, Leo, Forrest and David Griffin all of Bethel; sisters, Dorothy Day of Bethel, Virginia Evans of Amarillo, Tex., Ruth Woodbury of Blanchard, Idaho, Luella Bannister of Canon City, Colo., Betty Lee of Vancouver, Wash., Wilma Brooks of Fair Haven, Rose Mongeur of Williamstown and Connie Clifford of Canon City, Colo.; six grandchildren; as well as aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert last July, and her son Robert Lanpher.
